Kanuni Sultan Süleyman'ın Londra'da Sotheby's müzayede evinde satışa çıkan portresi 5 milyon liraya alıcı buldu. 60 - 80 bin sterlinlik değerle satışa sunulan portre 350 bin sterlin’e satıldı. Vergiler dair 5 milyon liraya mal olan portre, 19. yüzyıldan bu yana Fransız bir aileye ait özel koleksiyonda yer alıyordu. Portrenin Osmanlı ve Venedikliler arasındaki sanat alışverişine de ışık tutacağı düşünülüyor.
